Trail Race
This is a timed event.
Driving instructions 2nd diagram: the numbered steps correspond to the numbers on the diagram.
Enter at “A” and proceed forward.
1. Go forward and across Bridge
2. Go forward to tarp and make a U-turn by turning right around barrels
3. Go forward to WEAVE starting on right side
4. Turn Right at F, proceed F-A-K moving across arena to Gate 5.
5. Open Gate, walk through, close Gate
6. Forward to Mailbox. Open Mailbox, take a letter, and close Mailbox
7. Go forward to Boxes weaving around them, starting to the left side
8. Move forward between tarp and Bridge, then between Bridge and Weave Poles, moving as fast as possible
9. Exit at “A”.

Western Showmanship at Halter
- Execute one 360 degree turns at marker 1
- Walk from marker 1 to a position in front of the Judge
- Set up, hesitate and trot straight away.
- Trot two corners and stop.
- Execute ¾ turn to right.
- Trot half way to the Judge.
- Walk half way to the Judge.
- Stop and set up for inspection.
- After inspection, turn ¼ to the right.
- Back two horse lengths.
- Walk or jog to exit.

Barrel Race
Barrel Race
This is a timed event.
Set up: There are three barrels set in the arena in a triangle formation.
Enter at “A” and proceed to the barrel between “B” and “M” going CLOCKWISE around the barrel. Then head to the barrel between “E” and “H” and make a COUNTER CLOCKWISE turn. Finally, head for the barrel at “C” and make another COUNTER CLOCKWISE turn and head to the exit at “A”.
Faults are given for touching, tipping, or knocking down any barrels.

Pole Bending
This is a timed event.
Set up: There are six poles with ping pong balls set on top placed evenly apart in the center of the arena.
Enter at “A” and proceed down the left side of the pole to the last pole. Make a right turn around the last pole and begin your weave. Weave right-left-right through the poles that have ping pong balls set on top. At the last pole (typically there are 6), continue all the way around to weave back through the poles. Once around the last pole, continue as fast as possible to exit the arena at “A”.
This event can be done entering on the right side, weaving starting at the last pole left-right-left, returning to the last pole and racing forward on the left side of the poles.
Faults are given for touching any pole, knocking off a ping pong ball, a pole falling over, and for a pony stopping.

Stake Race
This is a timed event.
Set up: There are two poles with ping pong balls on top and two small barricades.
Enter the arena from the right of “A”. Pass the first Stake on the right. Cross through the center of the arena by going between two small barricades.
Approach the second Stake from the left side and go completely around. Cross back through the center of the arena between the two small barricades placing you to the right of the first Stake. Go around this Stake and back through the center of the arena and the two small barricades for a final time. The finish line is the center line of the arena.
Faults are given for touching a pole, knocking a pole over, knocking off a ping pong ball.
